Jersey Mike’s is famous for subs sliced and made to order, but the calories swing a lot depending on the size you pick and what goes on it. A Mini can be under 500 calories, while the same sub as a Giant can pass 1,800. This Jersey Mike’s calorie calculator lets you build your usual order – sub, size, bread and extras – and see the calories and protein before you order.
Every figure on this page comes from Jersey Mike’s own Nutrition and Allergens tool, read on October 28, 2026. Jersey Mike’s displays its totals rounded to the nearest 10 calories, and this calculator does the same, so a standard build here matches the official tool exactly.
How Jersey Mike’s sizes work
Jersey Mike’s cold subs come in three bread sizes: Mini, Regular and Giant. A Giant is roughly double a Regular – it uses about twice the meat, cheese and bread – so it is no surprise that a Giant runs close to double the calories. Hot subs are different: they are only sold as Regular or Giant, with no Mini option. You can also order most subs as a wrap or a bowl. A wrap swaps the roll for a tortilla-style wrap, and a bowl drops the bread altogether.
As a guide, a Regular is the standard single serving and suits most appetites. A Mini works well for a lighter lunch, and a Giant is really two meals in one – fine to share, or to save half for later.
Signature subs: official calories by size
These are the official Jersey Mike’s totals for six of the best-known subs, served the standard way on white bread. Protein is shown in grams.
| Sub | Mini | Regular | Giant |
|---|---|---|---|
| #2 Jersey Shore’s Favorite | 480 cal / 22.4 g protein | 820 cal / 39.2 g protein | 1,550 cal / 68.4 g protein |
| #7 Turkey and Provolone | 480 cal / 26.2 g protein | 820 cal / 45.4 g protein | 1,550 cal / 79.7 g protein |
| #13 The Original Italian | 570 cal / 29.3 g protein | 960 cal / 46.8 g protein | 1,820 cal / 83.6 g protein |
| #14 The Veggie | 570 cal / 24.4 g protein | 950 cal / 39.4 g protein | 1,900 cal / 78.1 g protein |
| #16 Mike’s Chicken Philly (hot) | – | 680 cal / 48.3 g protein | 1,370 cal / 96.7 g protein |
| #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak (hot) | – | 800 cal / 48.7 g protein | 1,610 cal / 97.4 g protein |
Hot subs have no Mini size, which is why those two rows show a dash. Note how the two hot subs pack the most protein: a Regular #16 Mike’s Chicken Philly gives 48.3 g of protein for 680 calories, the best protein-per-calorie ratio in this table.
One more official figure worth knowing: a #2 Jersey Shore’s Favorite ordered as a wrap on a white wrap is 800 calories with 35.6 g of protein, against 820 calories as a Regular on white bread. The wrap build uses the same Regular-size fillings, so the saving comes from the wrap itself (290 calories) replacing the white roll (about 309 calories).
Build your sub
Pick your sub, size and bread, then tick the changes you usually make. The totals update straight away. Cold-sub options such as olive oil blend, mayo and pepperoni are hidden for hot subs, because Jersey Mike’s own tool does not offer them there.
Calories are rounded to the nearest 10, the same way Jersey Mike’s own tool displays them. Protein is shown to one decimal place.
How to use the calculator
Start with the sub you usually order, then the size. Bread comes next: white is the standard, wheat is almost identical in calories (about 1 calorie less on a Regular), and rosemary parmesan adds about 31 calories on a Regular. Then tick the changes you make. “No cheese” and “No olive oil blend” remove those items, while the other boxes add extras at the official per-size portions.
Two things to keep in mind. First, the calculator covers the six signature subs above; if you order something else, look up its standard total in Jersey Mike’s own tool and use this page to see how the same swaps change it. Second, toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, vinegar and oregano add only a few calories, so they are not separate options here – the standard build already includes them.
The lightest picks
If you want the lightest signature sub, the Mini #7 Turkey and Provolone and the Mini #2 Jersey Shore’s Favorite tie at 480 calories, but the turkey sub wins on protein: 26.2 g against 22.4 g. At Regular size both are 820 calories, and again the turkey sub gives more protein (45.4 g against 39.2 g).
The biggest single saving comes from skipping the olive oil blend. On a cold sub ordered Mike’s Way, the oil adds 125 calories on a Mini, 250 on a Regular and 500 on a Giant – so a Regular #2 without it drops from 820 to 570 calories. Skipping the cheese saves about 118 calories on a Regular cold sub, and about 204 calories on a Regular #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak.
On the other side, mayo is the heaviest single add: 172 calories on a Mini, 261 on a Regular and 522 on a Giant. Extra cheese adds 119 calories on a Regular cold sub, extra meat only 54, bacon 67 and avocado 68. So if you want to keep a sub filling without pushing the calories up too far, extra meat beats extra cheese, and avocado beats mayo.
Switching bread barely moves the needle. Wheat instead of white saves only about 1 calorie on a Regular, so choose wheat for taste and fibre, not for calories. Rosemary parmesan is the one bread that costs more: about 31 extra calories on a Regular and 62 on a Giant.
Know your daily calorie target
A Regular sub at 680 to 960 calories is a substantial lunch – roughly a third to a half of a 2,000-calorie day. A Mini at 480 to 570 calories fits more easily into most daily targets, and a Giant at 1,550 to 1,900 calories is close to a full day of food on its own. If you want to work out your own target, try our free calorie calculators, which include BMR, TDEE and macro calculators.
A note on accuracy: Jersey Mike’s own tool warns that products are handcrafted and values can vary by location, preparation and ingredient supply. Treat these totals as the official standard-recipe figures, and expect your actual sub to land within a few percent of them.
